  • …Yoga

I have been practicing prenatal yoga at Sangha Yoga Shala for the past 10 weeks and I have to say that it's my favorite part of being pregnant.  I can't say enough positive things about Sangha Yoga Shala and Aimee. They are both wonderful! Aimee is also an incredible teacher.  She is so patient and kind and really knows a lot about pregnancy.  Her insights about pregnancy have been so useful.  Her yoga practice is gentle but it provides a great workout as well. If you are pregnant, you should definitely come to Sangha Yoga Shala for prenatal yoga.  I'll be so sad when I can no longer take the class!  It's really fantastic! -Hanna

Prenatal yoga has been really helpful as a confidence building exercise for me. I came into yoga with a back injury and a little nervous about whether or not I could physically do all of this, and yoga has really helped that. Aimee's classes have been great for me. I've been traveling to different countries and different states for the last 2-3 months and I've done prenatal yoga everywhere and I'm so happy to be back home here. - Melysa

I find the class really helpful. I feel like it's a bit of a workout, but at the same time I feel really relaxed at the end of the session and it's just getting me very mentally prepared for the big day.  - Sara

It's been wonderful. It's something I look forward to every week. It's been relaxing, it's been a workout and I've been able to take some of the movements I've learned in class home and continue throughout the week.  - Liz

I highly recommend prenatal yoga with Aimee. I am also looking forward to trying baby & me yoga here. Just overall great atmosphere as well. -Aimai

  • …Doula

Aimee is a wonderful doula. My boyfriend and I met with her a couple of times before I went into labor to talk about what kind of support we were looking for. I also got to pick out my favorite scents out of her aromatherapy kit - a nice little bonus. I had a homebirth and Aimee showed up a couple of hours before the midwives and communicated with them to let them know when they needed to come so I didn't have to think about all that. She is a kind and hard-working doula. She was always there to offer me a cool wash cloth, something to drink, a calming or invigorating scent when I needed it. She gave me the most helpful, strong pelvic presses when I had my pushing contractions. Those were the best pain killers! I was pushing for four hours and she never left me by myself through a contraction. My midwives told me afterwards what a great job they thought she did. I would hire her again in a heart beat.

My husband and I chose Aimee to support us at the birth of our first baby girl. Neither of us have any family here, and felt that we were missing the support and comfort that a mother or sister would bring. For me, having Aimee there to hold my hand through the contractions was just what I needed. I was extremely nauseaus during my entire labor, and really appreciated the scented oil that she had brought with her, which helped to alleviate the problem. Aimee was extremely calm and supportive of my decisions. If you are considering a doula, I highly recommend Aimee. She made a scary experience so much easier to bear.
