For the pregnant practitioner, prenatal yoga classes allow a time to connect with your body and your baby. It’s an opportunity to stretch and strengthen your body, as well as explore abdominal & pelvic floor toning, vocal release, creative visualizations, breathing techniques, meditation and other tools that can be directly utilized in assisting with pain management during labor and delivery.
Postnatal yoga classes offer the opportunity to practice alongside your baby. We focus on areas that tend to be of particular importance to the postpartum body: neck and shoulders, core strengthening, hip stabilization and pelvic floor work. Babies are integrated throughout the class with baby massage and in specific baby postures to encourage bonding, help with sleep and digestive issues.
